The Ulrich Co-Lab: Thinking about Exhibitions
The second phase invited visitors into the curatorial process itself. Thinking About Exhibitions asked: what happens when we open the work of exhibition-making to the public?
Visitors moved through every stage of curatorial practice — researching a theme, developing a conceptual framework, selecting works from the Ulrich’s permanent collection, and shaping the layout of their own exhibition within a virtual gallery. Each curated exhibition was saved and added to a growing public archive of visitor-curated shows, making visible the range of stories the collection could tell when interpreted through different eyes.
